Recap: 11/9 PTO Meeting

Here’s what we covered at our 11/9 PTO meeting.

Principal’s Update:

Hamilton has hired a new PBIS coach and a social worker, Bethany Cook. Welcome!

Hamilton’s new Student Voice Collective (aka Student Council) is helping plan Friday’s student dance and also taking on additional projects, like adding feminine products to the restrooms.

Hamilton is collaborating with West High School to establish a Black Student Union.

GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) will likely return soon; staff are looking for smaller groups to help plan events.

Buses should arrive by 9:02 and leave school by 4:27pm; please encourage your students to ride their assigned bus. Blue bus students will wait inside starting next week; Principal Burkholder will email families any time there are changes to bus routes.

Our new playground is estimated to be complete in November! Stay tuned!

PTO purchased Hamilton T-shirts for every 6th grader!

PTO will begin fundraising next week to cover needs for the year and to help families for the holidays.

Parent-Teacher conferences: November 17 and February 9.
