Recap: 4/13 PTO Meeting

• Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2-6!

• Principal Burkholder reiterated the information from MMSD that our start time is not changing for next year.

• We are doing our first 8th grade movin' on ceremony live and in person over at West HS on June 9. 8th grade parents interested in helping should contact the office or PTO. If you’re interested in ordering decorations, the PTO can reimburse.

• Hamilton will host an all-school Cancer Support Walk May 26 to honor 7th grade teacher Jodi Steidl and everyone impacted by cancer in our community. The PTO has created a fundraising page for donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and we are asking parents to consider donating towards T-shirts for students and staff. A $150 donation buys shirts for an entire classroom, so consider sponsoring one of your child’s classes or teaming up with other parents! If you have a family business who would like to sponsor T-shirts, donate to the event, or provide snacks to students, please let us know. This event and cause will be the PTO’s cornerstone fundraising effort for this spring.

• Our April 27 Roman Candle pizza kit fundraiser will support the Cancer Support Walk. If you can volunteer to hand out pizza kits that afternoon, please contact us.

• We will also hold a 1st Day School Supplies fundraiser in May: Order your child’s school supplies and raise money for the Hamilton PTO to use next fall. Link will be coming soon!
