Recap: 4/12/23 PTO Meeting
Thanks to everyone who attended our final PTO meeting of the year on 4/12!
We are happy to share that we have filled many of our board positions for 2023-2024! We are still looking for a president.

Principal’s Report
John and team working on 6th grade needs.
Next year, Hamilton will have full-time PBIS staff member.
Hamilton is almost fully staffed for next year, with enrollment anticipated to go up from current enrollment of 728 students.
All posted positions closed 4/12 and John will review applications.
Re. the principal position, Angie Hicks has reached out to Kathleen Doherty to choose staff for the interview panel, which will have parent representation, too.
PTO has paid for soccer nets, balls and other items for the new playground.

8th grade graduation is Thursday, June 8th. Arrive at 9am; event starts at 10am and will conclude by 11:15.
John is working with staff to send out communication to parents about various items to complete before end of year.
West High School Orientation for 8th grade should be happening soon via Zoom.
PTO Budget Updates
~$7,500 in the PTO account
Adam has completed state and federal tax filings.
Adam will connect with new treasurer to walk them through process.
Funding Requests
PTO discussed and approved a request to send staff to a restorative justice seminar and discussed a student mural request.
Other requests that come in after this meeting will be reviewed and voted on via email.
Fundraising Updates
Megan Reed will coordinate First Day School Supplies and future spirit wear initiatives.
